B.A. Kangaroo Gets To Stay
“An Oklahoma woman will be allowed to keep a partially disabled kangaroo.
Christie Carr has been keeping it in her Broken Arrow home.
She says it’s therapeutic for her.
The B.A. city council voted unanimously Tuesday night to create an ordinance for people with exotic animals.
“Irwin” the kangaroo can stay in the city as long as Carr meets certain conditions.
Exotic animal owners must have a $50,000 insurance policy for any injuries it may cause.
The owners must also certify that their animals have adequate housing.
Last month, an anonymous donor paid for Irwin’s liability insurance.”
Yaaaaay! Irwin can stay! This calls for more public appearances so I can finally get my picture taken with him.
Dear god, I love Broken Arrow. And our disabled kangaroos.
